Grete helped pioneer the sport of freeskiing and became the first female in her sport to win Gold at X Games. She has served as President of the Women's Sports Foundation, Athlete Representative on the Athlete Advisory Council to the USOPC and US Ski & Snowboard Team. Grete is an encyclopedia of Winter Action Sports history and still holds the Women's World Record for Highest Hip Jump of 31 feet. She loves hyping people up and giving them the spotlight they deserve.
My Story
"My dream was to become a professional athlete, but I didn't know which sport. I also enjoyed jumping on my skis, but women were not allowed to compete in ski jumping. I started ski racing when I was 10 with the dream of becoming the next Picabo Street. However, there was one problem. I didn't care about going fast or winning, I just liked to get air."
